Hobgoblin

Is a hobgoblin the same as a goblin? Is hob a good suffix or bad. If you’re the hobgoblin, do you get promoted to goblin in case the goblin is unable to fulfill their duties as goblin? Or is hobgoblin a superior term, like Chief or Executive? I would like to know.

Yah, there’s a difference. The ‘hob’ part comes from "hobbe" meaning elf in German. So a hobgoblin is an elf goblin, which are more whimsical and friendly than a mean-ass ‘goblin’.

So if Hobgoblin is going to be in Spidey 3, it’ll probably be like Spiderman meets Hermey, the dentist elf from the Rudolf Christmas special.

Hermey was one bad-ass dentist elf.
It combines the two things people fear – dentists and people with pointed shoes.

He combined two things that I feared alright, but it wasn’t dentists and pointed shoes. He combined my fear of puppets and of short people with yellow fiberglass hair.

You know what would really be bad-ass? The Tooth Fairy. She combines fear of the dark with fear of dentists. They should make a movie called "The Tooth Fairy Is Gonna Kick Your Ass". Like if you open your eyes when the TF is getting your tooth, she’ll kick your ass unless you turn on a light.

You wouldn’t even need nudity or that much lighting equipment for the film.

    That would be awesome.
